You do NOT need to be signed up for Lacrosse on Club Day to play lacrosse or attend the clinics.

Bring your stick if you have one and a water bottle.
If you have acquired gloves, wear them.
There will be a few "loaner" sticks, so some can try it out.
Clinics will run every Sunday & Wednesday until Feb. 25

EQUIPMENT NEEDED: FIRST - GET A LACROSSE STICK !

The choice is up to you as to what stick & pads to get. You may already know what kind of stick you prefer. The info below is provided to give new players a starting point. I prefer you get one of the 3 helmets listed.

I have a limited selection of gloves & pads to loan.
I will offer them to the seniors first, then juniors, etc..

Just to start out, you'll need a stick. Sticks are available at Dick's, Dunhams, or on-line. Here are some inexpensive suggestions:

STICK
Warrior Outlaw ($23 on sale), STX AV8 U - ($40)

The next thing you will need will be gloves. Start getting used to handling the stick wearing gloves. High school players would probably get 12" or 13" gloves.
If you have large hands, get 13"

GLOVES
STX Stinger - Black - Sizes: 6", 8", 10", 12" 13" ($30 to $37)
STX K18 - Black - Sizes: 12" 13" ($150 to $167) - Great top of the line glove

Once you know for sure you are committed, get a helmet. I do have a limited number of the old style helmets in white & navy blue.
Helmets should be all black. Black chin piece, black visor, etc. If you want to spring for the cool silver titanium facemask, that's OK.

Once we start full contact in the spring, you will need the following:
ARM PADS - STX Stinger AP - Black - Sizes: XXS, XS, S, M, L ($21 to $26)
SHOULDER PADS - STX Stinger - Sizes: XXS, XS, S, M, L ($33 to $38)

GOALIE EQUIPMENT - I will work with the goalies individually for their equipment. They do not wear arm pads & shoulder pads. They need a chest protector.

We would like to add a separate GIRLS LACROSSE team if we can find a girls coach. Any volunteers should email coach at jeff@laxinwv.com

Don't worry if you don't know anything about lacrosse. There will be a US Lacrosse Level 1 coaching clinic for boys AND girls coaches in December if anyone is interested.
